Came bc of a recommendation from a friend and very glad I came - this place was amazing! I'm extremely picky when it comes to korean food and wasn't sure what to expect. Decided to try two of my favorites Korean dishes - kalbi jjim (short rib stew) and chicken wings (these were boneless). also had the sweet potato fries, korean tacos, and komttang (potatoes and pork stew). Pretty much everything was amazing. The komt... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Damso Modern Korean Cuisine:
Lunch was essentially a bowl of pork bones, with sparse amounts of meat, in a clear broth. The big deal is that they simmer it for a full day. But really, though nicely spiced, it was basically overpriced soup stock garnished with a bit of greenery.Service was quick but perfunctory. Server showed no smile no eye contact, no interest. If there is a next time, I'd go for the 'KFC' which people rave about. View all feedback.
One of my favorite restaurant.... all you can eat is the best
$15.99 All You Can Eat Pork Belly Thanks For the delicous time!
I have been missing Korean food so much so why not write a post about it and just miss it some more right?. Damso was one of the restaurants that I always wanted to try and I was finally able to go try it out! As always, banchan is always a must. Spicy tofu soup: Definitely one of the spiciest tofu soups I’ve ever tried! I mean I’m sure you can tell it was tomato red! I liked that there were so many chopped veggies in it too and there was actually flavor to it instead of tasting like kimchi water. There was definitely a block of tofu in there as well.
I had the Gamjatang at Damso, which consists of a 24-hour broth with pork, pork on the bone, potato, wild sesame, and served with rice. For a brief period, I was fixated on Gamjatang and would order it at every Korean restaurant I visited. This was my first time trying it at Damso since they opened, and I must say it was a really good version. I would consider it to be one of my top 5 favorite gamjatangs.
I liked the pork belly all you can eat. Taste was good. However, wasn't a big fan of the rules and policies: can't enter until everyone is there and the 1 hour limit on all you can eat. (Ok on the 1 hour limit but it should start when the food arrives, not when you order.
