Best won ton soup in Vancouver BAR NONE. Also Shanghai noodles are great.Generous portions; modestly priced and very clean. The curries are NOT their strong suit. View all feedback.
What Lulu Johns doesn't like about Coco Noodle Express:
Ordered chicken Pad Thai, which was tastelesss and had no sauce, however Thai green chicken curry had more flavour. While we sat down and started to eat our food, we watched the two gentleman behind the counter touch the food with their bare hands scratch their face and hair, handled cash from other patrons, and needless to say we did not finish our meals. We ran across Coco Noodle Express by chance when we were looking for somewhere to eat. The cafe is basic and clean. The staff I felt struggled with English at times. The food was tasty and a large serve and not expensive. We enjoyed the meal so much we went back for another meal a couple of days later. We also recommended this cafe to another couple who also found it as we did. I recommend this cafe for a meal.

When I shopped around in Robson Street, I saw this shop highlighted the beef noodle. I then went inside and tried the beef noodle. The shop is small and when I ordered the food. To my surprise, the man spoke Cantonese, but I had not asked him if he came from Hong Kong. It took about 15 minutes to wait for the food, because there was only 1 man cooking the food. He had to finish cooking one dish and make the other. Therefore, the food was fresh. The taste of the beef noodle is very good and the price is reasonable.
We went here for dinner and actually didn't end up eating what we ordered after we saw the lack of hygiene. The guy at the till also put the food together (it was cooked by a different guy) and he put the noodles and veggies in a bowl with his bare hands after scratching his head, handling cash and the till. No gloves, no hand washing. nada! We just couldn't eat after watching him do this.
Sometimes you get a noodle craving and you need a restaurant that makes noodle and rice dishes with fresh ingredients and quickly. I have gone to Coco for years when in vancouver. When close to the library, this is the ticket. Dishes are large so sharing is not a bad idea. Love the veg spring rolls
