We popped in here for an early evening dinner after a hard day's shopping in Granville Island, and the food was excellent, tasty and arrived quickly. Perfect location to visit after shopping in the Kids' Mart. Good value, too! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Cats Socialhouse:
First time -45 minutes after our order was taken, we still had no drinks or food so we got up and left. Also others were served who arrived after us.We like giving 2nd chances so went back tonight.Second time - we both ordered pad Thai. The shrimp were off, bad flavour and the rest of the dish horrible.Sorry but we won't be back. Very disappointed and will tell others. View all feedback.

The hostess tells us that there would be a forty minute to an hour wait for a table for lunch at about 12:30 PM. When I ask why, when only about a quarter of the tables are occupied, she tells me they have a long wait list and they are giving the kitchen a break. We wait and get one of the tables that had been open the whole time. Service was borderline lazy. The food was just OK but the experience was sub-par.
After a few hours of shopping on Granville Island, needed to find a nice place for lunch. Settled on this restaurant and experience very friendly staff, good food and service. We ate outside and had a very good lunch.
We've just returned from a two week break in Vancouver and ate at Cats twice. Good service, good beer, good food on both occasions. Not fine dining but it doesn't pretend to be that kind of establishment.
