Cartems Donuts Downtown - Vancouver

Do not believe that the organic, the vegan donut is not a feature donut, almost the entire case is vegan (except the london nebel donut)

Note: I had these donuts pre covid, back in november 2019 and I just accidentally over them and realized that I never had a happy cow. this review if for a visit a few years ago. these were some of the first vegan donuts I've ever had, and I remember very clearly to like them, but they don't love them. that was a rather decent walk from our hotel, and I remember that it was not worth dealing with my tired and creepy family members. the shop was very sweet, and there were many options. I remember the load was busy, and the person behind the counter was a little impatient, as I was new in the vegan scene and wanted to check what was and what was not vegan. However, the donuts were quite good, a little dry, but since I don't start a huge donut fan, I always take my opinions with a grain salt. Overall, I have not been in the position to visit vancouver since this visit due to covid, but I am looking forward to trying this again because so much time since then passed and I have more to compare it than older vegan.

The donut I ordered was really sweet. It was a bit too much for me, even for a caramel one. It was expensive especially for how small it was. I was able to bring my own container, which is super great! I was happy to try it, but I would not go back.

I had the chocolate dipped donut it was great! I was there on a Friday at 1:00pm and they only had 5 flavours left and I believe their hours were extended until 9:00pm which is unfortunate. Happy with the number of vegan options and can’t wait to try something more adventurous!
