Caffe Rustico - Vancouver

I love Mediterranean vegetarian food. Not surprisingly, on a recent trip to Italy, I found the food fantastic. Rustico is a great small trip to Italy for your taste buds. That's the real deal. The roasted Veggie sandwich was so good or better than the food I had on my trip - nicely grilled, perfectly seasoned and served with a really nice little salad. The only thing missing was a good glass of red wine. No problem, I had an espresso instead. Another nice surprise. Good frying fragrance, soft pallet, a touch of sweetness and a clean, sharp finish. A really decent espresso. You could easily walk through Rustico. It's a kind of inconceivable, artful little cafe--but don't go by, go right and find a little magic on Main Street.

We love Caffe Rustico! The coffee is great and the place is super cozy and welcoming you get the feeling that you are part of the community when you are. And Kurt is so helpful when booking events in the last minute. We organized an event, Reflection Café, there a few times. It is a meeting for people with all kinds of skills and disabilities (including cognitive disabilities). Kurt and his team were flexible and make things very smooth, they let us take all the space! We really like the space and vibe and would recommend to others!

I am here because the owner is a very friendly and friendly Italian (I am Italian). I have pasta and a sandwich. Everything was delicious. Mario (the owner) lets you feel at home! It's worth a visit, even for a coffee.

We were looking for something different and authentic. Found this place on the island and decided to try it. The owner is very enthusiastic and treats you like your best friend. The way he presented himself and his restaurant made us aware how big chain restaurants lose this kind of personal relationship with their customers. It's kind of sad. We had a slice when Pesto Pizza and the Rustico Pannini and a garden salad. It was very good and hit the square. At the end of our meal, the owner brought us every free espresso with a small spoon of Nutella melted in it. That was a nice surprise and was very appreciated.

The owner is so friendly and loves to chat treats you like an old friend. He is also very skilled with his reasonably priced espresso drinks. Reminds me of Italy. Great place skip the chain coffee houses down the street and go to Caffe Rustico!
