Breka Downtown Bakery Cafe - Vancouver

Really enjoyed the pastries here. Great little place highly recommended to me. My only complaint would be that they were a bit behind on cleaning tables.....but perhaps they were short staffed.

This is a busy place! I wanted to try a few things since this place has such great reviews. Upon walking in you get into a line, tell an employee behind the counter what you'd like and they pack it up for you. I did feel rushed because they were so busy and I didn't want to hold up the line. I purchased the caramel macchiato cake slice, the mango coconut mousse, and the spinach and yam frittata bites. I liked the frittata bites the best. I dont think there was anything special about the 2 cake slices. I liked the caramel better than the mango coconut. Probably would go back to try the loaves/savory items instead.

I just moved next to the breka cafe 3 days ago, I thought I would enjoy my cafe latte with a muffin, the cashier who took my order was so unwelcoming and mean, it made me feel like I am begging, however, I took my latte and muffin and asked for a cup of water, she didn't respond so I asked another counter waitress that directed me to the tap water. I chose a table to go and sit , carrying the latte and muffin and the condiments, the table was dirty so I had to clean it myself, then the water cup and the muffin fell on the floor, the staff behind the counter were looking and nobody even moved to help or clean the floor. In a nutshell, whovere the manager there isn't doing enough good job to correct the incident. Try to train your staff to be more hospitable and helpful. Keep the condiment station clean. Hospitality at the poorest level, will never be back again.

Was amazed this place was near full all evening on a Monday night; so we knew we had to try it out!WOW!Best grilled Panini Sandwich I've ever had. Homemade Peach Ice-Tea was 10/10! Desserts were amazing too.

This is probably my favourite bakery in Vancouver. The prices here are reasonable, they have delicious desserts and drinks and they're open 24 hours so it's the perfect place to stop by if you want some late night food.
