Second visit here with work friends for dinner. Really appreciated the service. Good atmosphere. Mostly wanted to share photos of the menu and food. Great specials. View all feedback.
What Joe N doesn't like about Big Rock Brewery Ltd:
They have quite shady business practices. I ordered a six pack for delivery through the website. I waited over 50 minutes for the beer, and then they decided to cancel it last minute, but re-opened their website now with a $4 charge for delivery. That was a direct slap in the face, they pretended to advertise for free but then it wasn't really free. I will check in with the consumer protection bureau. View all feedback.
Big space with well spaced tables, good menu and always an intriguing daily specials menu. Plus the best Happy Hour around: 5$ beer and excellent dry ribs, wings, and my favourite korean cauliflower on special. Best of all happy hour is 3 hours every day: 3-6. Good servers willing to answer my questions and make recommendations. Most recently we had the pleasure to be served by Jessica. Can't wait to go back with a big group of friends when that is possible again, and maybe, finally, get enough of that cauliflower so that I can move on and try some of the specials!
Stopped into Big Rock Brewery Vancouver as the start of a birthday beer walking tour. So impressive is the taproom gift shop growler fill areas. Had a delicious Cidradelic IPA. Loved it. Tip is to get there during happy hour for $5 ribs. Super! Have fun, Cheers !

I'd stopped in to the adjacent brewery outlet store months ago to fill a growler, and had meaning to try the restaurant ever since. I was in the neighbourhood and on foot on a Saturday afternoon, and decided to give it a try. I might have gone to 33 Acres instead, but it's much smaller, so I was apprehensive that I might walk over and not find anywhere to sit there, and I remembered that Big Rock had seemed quite large. Well, I didn't have any problem getting a seat, because it really is very big, and there were maybe just two of the other tables occupied. I had a Midnight Rhapsody (a dark ale that's like a delicious adult soda pop) and what was billed as hash, but was really a mix of roasted root vegetables will a couple of strips of meat and an egg on top; not exactly what I expected, but very good. It's only a 5 minute walk from the Olympic Village Canada Line station, so easier to get to than I had realized.
We recently visited Vancouver and Big Rock was recommended to us as a great place with great atmosphere, food and beer. Well, they weren't wrong and we were not disappointed!!! Lamb sandwich is spot on. Wings and dry ribs were excellent and I am pretty hard to please when it comes to these items. We found the place to be inviting and particularly unique is the great view you have of the brewery itself from the bar area. We visited a second time before leaving the city and once again, food and drinks were great. You have to try the breakfast sandwich!!! Staff are very pleasant and eager to invite you in for a fabulous experience. We would definitely recommend this place and go back again!!
