Belmont Bar - Vancouver

If you are looking for a place that offers a great atmosphere with a great menu and great drinks, don´t miss the Belmont Bar! The place can be for those who want to hang out, to watch a sport game, or even to eat a great food. To eat, i suggest the Teryaki Salmon Quinoa Bowl. It´s delicious! And to drink... a Pinot Noir wine is a good option as well a Negroni! Enjoy it!

Customer service 0 We tried to book a party online cause no one ever answered our phone calls....yet, no returns, no emails, nothing. We tried again and not a single email to confirm or deny our booking. We went to the place to see what was happening and apparently they never received any email but were able to book our party. On the day we got a few messages confirming our party, but 2 hours before the party we got a lousy message cancelling cause they had previously booked the place for someone else. Try to find a place for 10 people on a Saturday night without a booking... We had people coming from out of town and this place literally ruined our night and my friend 's bday party. I work in hospitality myself and this is not the kind of service Vancouver is known for. I 've sent an email to the management team, I 've tried so many times to reach the Belmont in order to talk to them and understand what happened before writing a review on TripAdvisor but they couldn 't care less and never got back to me. I work in a few different hotels and I 'll give a shout to all the guests and people I know to never ever step in this place!

Alfonzo the bouncer was the worst ever. Took people who just visited the bathroom and kicked them out. Avoid the bouncers here.

We were at the front of the queue for 30 mins while the security guard was taking money off over 20 people to let them skip the queue and get in ahead of us, without even offering us that same option. As we were very angry with the place by the time we got in my friend didn’t tip the bartender for a single drink, and she then proceeded to circulate to all bartenders not to serve him as “he doesn’t tip”, so he was not served any more drinks for the entire night despite not even being drunk. Another bartender gave out to another one of my friends saying he didn’t tip when he had in fact dropped money in the jar and she just hadn’t seen it. All staff we encountered in the upstairs bar were extremely rude and we will never be returning again.

I had been here couple of times specially because the food is amazing. The staff is well training to be busy but not when is just a regular day. In my last visit I took a sit at the bar for the first time and they took a while to ask me for something even it wasn't busy. Maybe they were to distracted talking between each others. The barmens was doing deep cleaning but the barwoman was just talking and she was the one who took my order. Anyways I suggest the lady in the bar should be more proactive. Other than that good ambient, good drinks and good food.
