Reviews - Beavertails

Canadian, North American, Cheese

Reviews summary

A playful twist on poutine—served atop a beavertail—turns heads at this carnival-era eatery. While many praise attentive staff, generous portions and reasonable prices, quality proves uneven: fries arrive lukewarm, curds under-melted and some beavertails overcooked and greasy. The mobile PNE/carnival setting delivers a lively, occasionally startling atmosphere best suited to casual, budget-minded groups seeking novelty rather than refined dining.

It was good but pricey. Late post, we ordered last April 2022.

The food was good. It was OK. I didn?t actually try it but I saw it and it smelled pretty good so that?s probably a good thing. I don?t know exactly where this is but I think it?s at three nights and I didn?t have that good of a time there because it wasvery scary. I covid clowns jump at me inside a carnival but yeah besides that I assume the Beavertail is pretty good becauseit?s very popular but yeah.

Normally I love beaver tails but this location is really bad. The employees were standing around stretching the dough for an excessively long time and it made them come out paper thin in the middle. On top of that, they over cooked them in the fryer sothey were very hard. I got two and they both looked like the pictures. Extremely disappointed in the quality of this location.

They have a Poutail here which is a poutine served on a beavertail. The concept is cool but the fries were served lukewarm, the cheese curds were cold and not melted, and overall everything tasted on the greasy/oily side. But then again, it's from acarnival truck at the PNE so I guess you can't expect much more?

Very well kept and convenient restaurant. They offer large portions and for economical rates. I enjoyed the food a lot and the waiters were very attentive and informative. Highly recommended.

I ordered the strawberry cheesecake. The donut was a bit chewy, but it had a good flavor.

The owner does not update the location on their website and instead places the blame on the customer. I recommend avoiding this place if you're considering spending your money.
