What Yogi Smith doesn't like about Barra 41:
Can't give more, the ceasar salad had to much garlic, tasted that the whole meal and after. Wife's Greek salad was soggy and only tasted like oil. I had the lamb chops... More like lamb popcorn, small small appetizer like..was enough for 3 bites 3 small racks) Was cooked nice, seasoned ok. $41 haha never again) ..Wifey had the lamb shoulder. A favourite bar in Vancouver for light snacks aperitifs. Barra 41 is the bar attached to Minerva's Greek restaurant (which has been around forever) and serves the same great quality food from it's kitchen. All the food beer on tap is good, and you can also order from the restaurant menu. The atmosphere service of this bar takes Barra the next levrl. Highly recommended and worth the trip to karisdale. Happy hour specials are offered daily from 3 5 PM.

Minerva has been around forever. Barra 41 is their sidekick bar. The food is as good as you can get for traditional Greek cuisine. The atmosphere is awesome. The servers are lovely and accommodating. The senior lady who served us today was a lovely European grandma who was attentive and had a huge smile on her face at all times. And they have Peroni on tap to go with the beautiful calamari and wings.
So great. Great food, great drinks, really really great people, reasonable prices. Need 6 stars for this one.Update 2022-07-12: it has changed, perhaps due to COVID? Anyway, not for the worse! Menu is now shared with Minerva's next door. There is an outside patio on Balsam St. Food drinks and service still of the same high quality. Still recommended.
