We went with friends and we all ordered from the menu. My wife ordered the Artichoke sandwich and I ordered the Halloumi plate. We enjoyed the Artichoke sandwich more than the Halloumi. We had a table in the rear of the restaurant. Service was good, attentive and helpful. View all feedback.
What Mara S doesn't like about Arbor:
The veggie burger and the tomato jam were very salty and not all that tasty. The food was ok but meh...The patio was nice. The restaurant was nearly empty but it still took 40 minutes for my food to arrive. The side salad was horribly overdressed with tasteless dressing. The server came once to check if my food was ok, but otherwise ignored me. They should have apologized or warned about food delay. They gave me wate... View all feedback.
Nice eatery. Ordered takeout for lunch at the restaurant, and from our limited interaction, the staff were friendly! I think the biggest issue for us was the cost. Even with my Plant Curious coupons, my bill came to $60 for 2 sandwiches, 1 pasta, a small chocolate mousse, and fries. The portion size for the Pesto Alfredo at $22 was not great. It's advertised to come with seasonal vegetables slow roasted heirloom tomatoes. The seasonal vegetable was singular just the broccolini) and I think I counted like 5 small tomatoes. The saving grace was the pumpkin seed pesto alfredo, which was delicious. I had to eat a lot of my group's fries to be substantially filled. The sandwiches were the better option $21.75 each additional charges for GF/vegan substitutes). We had the Southern Fried Artichoke and Fig Brie Tofu. The tofu was the favourite, it came with a very hearty piece and the fig jam was the perfect amount of sweet. We found one piece of the battered artichokes in the sandwich was quite stringy and therefore, inedible.I will say I was disappointed as you seem to really be short changed by doing take out. I've seen photos of the food I ordered taken by dine-in patrons. The pasta had more ingredients extra arugula and healthier dose of cashew parmesan; although with the parm, I think they just mixed it into the sauce, it was hard to tell). When taken out, our chocolate mousse contained no anglaise nor seasonal fruit. The sandwiches come with fries and fresh greens when you dine in, but only fries at take out. I wasn't exactly sure why that was the case, as we were told you can purchase a caesar salad to go. I've taken out from many places before that do provide greens possibly with dressing on the side) and still provide fruit in a dessert. Would come here again if in the area, but only for dine in.
Amazing artichoke sandwich with coleslaw and eggplant “bacon” and the perfect toasted ciabatta bread. I’m just going to give some pointers for what I think would be better but I’m still giving 5-stars because it was amazing. The fries with the sandwich were a bit old but those type fries are hard to keep fresh. Maybe try a different brand. The salad items were a bit stringy maybe try softer greens. The pesto fettuccine tasted great but I was expecting flat long white noodles with the sauce and accented with fresh basil would have been lovely. The water was fresh and glasses and cutlery etc looked very clean. The table was tacky/sticky, I think it is because the varnish doesn’t clean very well. You could consider table clothes. The service was great. I will be back to try more items!
Excellent service and nice drinks. Really lovely ambience. The food was unfortunately quite bland and flavourless- and for how expensive it is, I was pretty disappointed. I could barely taste anything besides coleslaw in the artichoke sandwich and the fig and Brie sandwich was honestly just oily. The sandwich bread and the fries were great, but still not enough to warrant the price. It was 60$ for two sandwiches, a ginger beer, and water kefir WITH a 10$ discount.
We were a group of 6, one vegan, 2 picky food, 2 snobby about coffee, and a corgi in tow. Every person we interacted with was pleasant and the service was fantastic. We had a bit of everything and the 5 meat eaters want to come back for more just as bad as the vegan, who is a chef and knows her stuff. 100 out of 100. Fantastic joint. They have a garden patio that isn't dog friendly like their front patio is, and it's gorgeous!
Great place! The food was amazing and everyone loved their meals. We had vegans in our group and they were able to accommodate their meals to their needs. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The “secret garden” was a great outdoor space that we enjoyed eating at. Would recommend if you are looking for fresh, yummy food!
