This is a cafe, not a restaurant, it's a walk in off the street cafe, choose your cold drink out of the fridge & order your food. We had a wrap and a shish kebab platter mix of lamb and beef salad and rice and more. Chill for a bit, while you wait for your fresh food. View all feedback.
What Elton Prosacco doesn't like about Aladdin Cafe:
Food lacked taste and refinement. It is almost like no spices were used. Owner/cashier is rude. He must be the owner since any employee would have been fired long after so many negative reviews. This must be one of the rare restaurants in Vancouver that does NOT give customers tap water when asked. You are asked to buy bottled water. I thought every restaurant must serve tap water when asked. Obviously not. I should... View all feedback.

Went here for lunch with my friend the other day; sunny Friday, streets filled with happy people.Ordered the Greek salad; my friend ordered the Caesar salad. Both were sad salads. See my photos; my photos actually do them justice because they were taken in 4K. The salads looked nothing like the ones on the board advertising their deliciousness. The guys measured out the olives as well as the tiny cubes of pre-cut feta; and the dressing was just something out of a bottle, reminded me of Newman's Own style Italian dressingMy friend's Caesar had wilted lettuce and mini pita crackers in place of the croutons in the advertised photo; plus limited amounts of Parmesan.Total rip-off price at over $6 with tax; you get a better salad at Subway for heaven's sake!Plus when I asked for a glass of tap water the cashier with the sad looking face and sullen attitude informed me that they had no tap. Whatever, I didn't want to argue.Don't visit this place for salad! I liked the music but did not care for their shoddy service, sullen attitude and rush to get your money.Would never recommend this place and told everyone at work about our experience (we're a huge office and we all love eating out several times a week). Two sad salads one Ginger Ale = $17.00!!!
Falaffel was reheated in a microwave, not fried fresh. Employees indifferent to customers. You have a lot of better choices in the area.
They were cleaning the restaurant with high voicy tools and we couldnt here each other which is very disrespectful behaivour for a restaurant. Also waited 20 mins to get 2 kebabs
I have been coming to Aladdin Cafe for the past 5 years. That is very well situated, close to the shopping center.I am very familiar with Middle Eastern food. This place and no way compares to authentic Middle Eastern food. Having lived in Vancouver for the past 28 years, I can tell you there aren't a lot of alternatives. The guys running the establishment are friendly. They are accommodating when it comes to getting your order personalized.I usually go for their lamb or chicken shawarma. Their lamb shawarma is not authentic. The meat is sauted on the grill and then wrapped into a shawarma sandwich. It is not the typical meat that is carved of the large shawerma skewer. The chicken shawarma is good, but not great.Their fattoush salad is not authentic either either. The portions are good however. In terms of authenticity, I give this place 5-6 out of 10. I Ikea returning to this establishment because there isn't a more authentic alternative in Vancouver, unfortunately.Whenever I miss the taste of the Middle East, this place hits the spot.
