After having a delicious chicken shawarma in Egypt recently, I decided to have one back in Vancouver. I ordered a chicken shawarma ($7.60), lentil soup ($1.99), and an Al Basha plate (11.90) to go for dinner at home. The shawarma had plenty of chicken and was quite tasty but it wasn’t toasted like the one in Egypt. Everything here is fantastic. The food, service, prices. I always get the falafel wrap or falafel plate. Everything is extremely fresh and delicious. Great location.
Al Basha is awesome. Whether your looking for a quick lunch or dinner or need to satisfy that drunk craving I can't recommend it enough. It has that local feel and the staff are incredibly friendly. I think it offers tremendous value. I cannot recommend it enough.

I didn’t finish it all for dinner and had leftovers for lunch the next day.Total cost of meal was $23 before tip. Service was friendly and efficient. Restaurant is small with a few tables. Parking is street pay parking on Broadway.
My friend and I enjoyed the chicken schwarma wrap. Actually one of the better ones I have had. There are a few tables inside with a TV screen. Service was good too. Would definitely return if in the area.
The falafel is fried on order, not in advance as in so many other places. This is a small restaurant with only a few tables, so it's better for take out than eat-in. Prices are better than at many similar middle eastern fast food establishments. Enjoy!
