After living in asia for 3 years, I had to find satisfactory authentic Szechuan food. this place is delicious and great prices for the meals. the appetizers are big, so don't let you fool. we ordered a full of judgement, because we could not wait to take extra food after home for a second meal. seriously, go here, it is divine! What User doesn't like about Szechuan Brothers Chinese:
I want to like this place but I’ve ordered twice and been disappointed both times. Both times the food has lacked any flavor. The quality of ingredients is there but the food just doesn’t taste like anything. This time they forgot part of my order and the orange sauce I got was unlike any orange sauce I’ve seen. It had bits of burnt sauce floating in it. View all feedback.
The food here looks amazing in the photos, but it falls really short on flavor. We ordered the orange chicken, general Tou chicken, beef chow main soft noodles, spice cracked fried rice and beef short ribs, sweet and sour soup, and the snow pee green leaf.I believe some people will love this food. I just found the food to be very unflavored. I added soy sauce to the general tou and the orange chicken as it was unsalted. It is possible that they do not use any MSG here. Overall, the price was a little high for the amount of food we received.Read other reviews, and if you go, I hope you enjoy it. Please know this was the first time I have ever had to add salt to a Chinese dish. Good luck, my fellow Google travelers.
Found this restaurant last January while we were house hunting in the area. Covid kept them from serving inside, but they had an inviting full take-out menu and we became regular take-out customers. Large tasty entre portions. Everything we ordered was enjoyable and we always had to force ourselves to expand our selection on our next visit and not just order the same selections as before. Gladly became regular dine-in customers once they re-opened with regular service. They have redecorated this year. Nicer decor and experience. Wait staff always very pleasant and prompt. Chefs do an excellent job. If you like Szechuan or Hunan cuisine, not sure how you could not like this restaurant’s offerings. It’s our go-to place.
Such tasty food! We had dan dan noodles and the entire fish which was a feast for the senses. Don't be shy order the fish!Food: 5/5
Absolute best Chinese food I have had in a very long time! So fresh, delicious, and amazing portions. Food was made to order and tasted so good. The service was very good. I didn't wait to be seated. They were super friendly and attentive. Had lots of leftovers to take home. My favorite was the spicy noodles with beef. It is a good amount of spice, though, so if you are sensitive, skip it. The fried rice was really good, too!
I can't believe this gem of a restaurant exists here. I've been wanting authentic Chinese dishes for a while and there's not many places that offer that in Vancouver. When coming in, I was happy to see a mix of Asian folks and other non Asians and it felt like being back home.Atmosphere was nice and not too loud. We ordered the fried green beans, hot and sour shredded potato, and cumin lamb skewers.Everything tasted amazing. If you love lamb, get the cumin lamb skewers (appetizer). It's mildly spicy with a good cumin rub.And my vegetarian partners loved the green beans and shredded potato. We'll be coming back to try the other dishes soon!Vegetarian options: Green beans, shredded potatoParking: A lot of spots because this plaza is huge and supports a lot of small businessesWheelchair accessibility: Easy to get around with wheelchairDietary restrictions: Many options for vegetarians. There is a specific section for vegetable dishes. Read each dishes description. Some still use meat
