Was Ben at Swiss Hibiscus a mag?
Make a reservation for this cozy place with a relaxing atmosphere and very delicious food. Staff is friendly and had great recommendations. First time I've ever had fondue and it did not disappoint. Don't leave without trying the raspberry tart. View all feedback.

What Theresa Truesdell dislikes about Swiss Hibiscus:
A bit overrated. Having lived in Switzerland I can tell you that you should smell the cheese down the block if it's as authentic as in Switzerland. I couldn't taste the garlic or nutmeg. Usually eating fondue is like drinking good white wine with strong smelly cheese like VACHERIN FRIBOURGEOIS. Unfortunately, they gave me the wrong order, plain pork schnitzel. Total cost fondue and 1 plate of plain schnitzel plus bee... View all feedback.

I’ve walked past this little spot on Alberta for years and never thought to try it until now. And boy have I’ve been missing out! The food is absolutely delicious: a soft warm roll with their signature house made sauces; crisp, fresh, and simple green salad; perfectly cooked chicken Wienerschnitzel with browned butter and lemon, served with warm Spätzli, which I had never tired before but loved; warm profiteroles that you’ll want to eat more of even though you’re full! I also appreciated the selection of Swiss wines, which is definitely something I haven’t seen on a menu before. All of this topped off with warm, kind, and friendly staff who are more than happy to answer questions and help you decide what to try. I am so glad I finally made the time to try this spot out; I can’t wait to come back and work through all the other items on the menu and try some of their specials! Don’t wait on this place like I did, you won’t regret spending an evening here.

Most of the food was very good. The fondue was fantastic. A few things were a bit off, the swedish hashbrowns were not good and the apple pie would have been okay if it had been served warm instead of cold. The service was amazing and I like the ambiance. They do need to clear the bathroom door so it is more accessible for a wheelchair.

This place has a homely atmosphere. The staff are all pleasant and courteous. We had a glass of wine (Swiss Pinot Noir), the Swiss Onion Soup, the Jägerschnitzel w/Chanterdles (specials of the day), the Paprika Schnitzel and the Eis Kaffee (this is alike a coffee shake. (this is a dessert that is like a coffee shake). All were delicious and full of flavor. I wouldrecommend it, but it is not a large restaurant with only 9 tables for two people. It is also open four days a week from 5:00 PMto 8:30 PM, so it is best to make a reservation.
