Wild Willy’s - Van Wert
Wild Willy’s
Description
Wild Willy’s offers hearty, wallet-friendly pizza and a popular buffet of pizzas, pastas, salads and calzones. Guests praise attentive staff, cleanliness, ample free parking and improved service under new ownership. The atmosphere is simple and family-friendly but slightly dated. Frustrations include confusing hours or carry-out-only policies, occasional buffet shortages, past slow deliveries and a lack of to-go silverware. Despite inconsistencies, many recommend it as a worthwhile stop for families, fairgoers and budget-conscious diners seeking comforting, generous portions.

The pizza wasn't bad but wasn't amazing. I really wish the sauce had more flavor. It was so sad cause locals said it was a great pizza place. The crust was good and the toppings was ok. The delivery took a while but the guy was nice and polite.
The food was good, at least what I could eat. I had expected the restaurant to include silverware since I mentioned the type of establishment I was at. Unfortunately, they did not provide any, so I was only able to eat my sandwich and couldn't enjoy my pasta and salad. Providing to-go silverware should be standard for meals that include salad and pasta.
Cleanliness- found the location to be very clean. (did not check the lavatory)Atmosphere- Simple plain. Aged and in need of some updating. No outstanding theme (not a bad thing)Food- we had the buffet, and found it to be pretty good and diverse with salad, different pizzas, and pastas.Suggestion- try to expand the salad bar with more veggies such as cucumber, onion, and add cottage cheese.Service- perfect! The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and timely.
Went there last night, first time going wanted to try their all meat pizza, wasn't one on the buffet so I asked if they could make one and the girl who was the cashier said yes. Waited, they brought out a Taco and a Deluxe. Finally after a half hour or longer, I asked the waitress if they were going to bring out an All Meat, she goes back and asked, the cashier never said anything. Asked if they could make one she comes back out and said they didn't have enough dough out to make plus the buffet was closed. So for almost $28 for 2 people we had 4 slices of pizza (which are cut very small) and 2 drinks. I can say we won't be back again.
