Outlaws Cafe - Van Nuys

This restaurant is an absolute treasure. When the owner discovered that it was our first visit, he shared the inspiring story behind Outlaws and his vision of creating a family-run eatery with meticulously chosen ingredients that wouldn’t need extra condiments. As someone who typically drowns everything in ketchup, I felt a bit anxious when he suggested I try my burger without it, since I had never experienced a burger that way before. However, I decided to take a bite sans ketchup, and I was blown away. This was, without a doubt, the best burger I’ve ever had, and I didn’t even miss the ketchup! Everything the owner said about hand-picking ingredients and partnering with top-tier suppliers is absolutely true. By the end of our meal, we were exchanging hugs (the owner is incredibly welcoming and makes you feel like an old friend), and when he realized we hadn’t ordered dessert, he graciously invited us back in for a complimentary brownie. If you’re searching for a place that serves outstanding food and exceptional customer service with a genuine Mom-and-Pop atmosphere, look no further. This restaurant deserves every star possible!

This restaurant is fantastic. While the location itself might not be the most appealing, the owner and staff more than make up for it with their warmth and hospitality. I tried the Bandito burger, and it absolutely blew me away—it was delicious! The steak fries are simply potatoes cut into quarters and fried, seasoned with garlic, which some might not enjoy, but I loved them. The iced tea is quite strong, but really good. The two-bite brownies have a hint of cinnamon and chili (I think), which is not typically my preference, but it works well here. Beyond the food, the atmosphere is incredibly friendly. The owner spent some time chatting with my friends and me on the porch after our meal. The menu mentions something about "no customers, just hungry friends," and while I've seen other places make similar claims, this one truly delivers on that promise.

The Bandito Burger is AMAZING!!! This is by far the best burger I've had in the Los Angeles area. This does not taste like restaurant food but a home cooked meal. The outstanding food is matched only by the impeccable service. Not only does the food taste home cooked but the staff treats you like family. I will definitely be coming back here.

The brownie is to die for...not revealing the secret theme ingredient! I had their 'Jailbird ' chicken sandwich and it was great! Southwestern flavor and the best pretzel bun! Support local food!

Just ate here first time food was great I love the mac and cheese great great can't go wrong with it and our waitress Maia I think it was was great probly best service I've had good spot I'll be back for sure
