The place is packed quite crazy and it is because for what it is, a relatively affordable diner with decent food. I always get her soup salad, and I'll get your dinner combo. Gumbo soup is good.

I also tried the chicken tenders with honey mustard sauce, which were cooked perfectly, and the sauce was delightful as well. I sampled the new Mac n' Tots, which is a personal-sized serving of tater tots topped with macaroni and white cheese. It was different from the cheddar cheese I would have preferred, but I'm biased on that front. Overall, it was a great meal. The person I dined with ordered the country fried steak with eggs and pancakes and said the pancakes were perfect. The steak was fried to a crispy texture and very tasty. This restaurant is a must-visit if you're in the area. It has a charming old-school vibe with plenty of regulars, and the waitstaff is very polite and attentive.

Th... read more It was a Halloween Monday, and unfortunately, there were no side vegetables available. The hash browns were barely cooked, and the tomato was hard and green. The pico de gallo didn’t taste very fresh, and the small portion of beans just wasn’t enough. I left feeling hungry, especially since there were limited options for vegetarians.
