Description

Norms is a long-standing chain diner that offers a retro-modern classic feel with an easy menu, plenty of parking, and a friendly staff. While the food is generally good, there are some limitations in terms of dietary options for vegetarians and those with specific needs. Despite some inconsistencies in service, the restaurant has maintained consistent quality over the years. The diverse menu offers a variety of options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with standout dishes like the Habanero Jalapeño Cheeseburger and perfectly cooked chicken pliers. Norms is a quintessential LA dining experience that provides good value for money and a wide range of choices for every meal.

My only complaint was that the fries were insufficient, barely covering the plate and comparable in size to a child's small fries at a fast food restaurant. I also tried the chicken tenders with honey mustard sauce, which were cooked perfectly, and the sauce was delightful as well. I sampled the new Mac n' Tots, which is a personal-sized serving of tater tots topped with macaroni and white cheese. It was different from the cheddar cheese I would have preferred, but I'm biased on that front. Overall, it was a great meal. The person I dined with ordered the country fried steak with eggs and pancakes and said the pancakes were perfect. The steak was fried to a crispy texture and very tasty. This restaurant is a must-visit if you're in the area. It has a charming old-school vibe with plenty of regulars, and the waitstaff is very polite and attentive.

It was a Halloween Monday, and unfortunately, there were no side vegetables available. The hash browns were barely cooked, and the tomato was hard and green. The pico de gallo didn’t taste very fresh, and the small portion of beans just wasn’t enough. I left feeling hungry, especially since there were limited options for vegetarians.

The restaurant is wonderful, with a full staff that is very attentive. The food is quite good overall. However, the only drawback is its outdated design. It tends to get quite crowded, which speaks to its appeal as an affordable diner with decent meals. I always order the soup, salad, and entrée dinner combo, and I really enjoy the gumbo soup.

Always good food but recently they only serve carrots as vegetables and I don?t like steamed carrots ???? please change that. Besides that the staff is super nice. We have a guy from Honduras and my sister in law felt great speaking in Spanish with him.Definitely a plus when we speak Spanish!

I always make an effort to eat at Norm?s when I?m in Los Angeles. It?s such a LA dining experience. The food is good, affordable, and amazing variety from breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you want more for your buck try Norm?s, trust me you caneat worst and pay 3x more.
