Contribute FeedbackAt Captain Jay's, experiences vary significantly. While some patrons commend the food, especially the cole slaw and shrimp, others criticize the heavy-handed use of lemon pepper seasoning and service issues. Concerns about unprofessional staff and problems like incorrect orders and limited sauce portions overshadow the positives. A few encounters highlight unsettling behavior from management, with reports of disrespectful language towards customers. However, some customers still appreciate the attentive service from particular staff members. Overall, diners are torn between delicious flavors and disappointing service, leading many to reconsider their allegiance to this Detroit establishment.
Great food and amazing customer service. I will definitely be coming back.
Ordered through door dash 4 Superman Crunch Cakes. The were mushy, wet and unpleasant !! Tried calling to return them no answer!!
The food was really good. The young lady that waited on me was patient professional. I had a big order on my phone and she made sure I got all the items I had on my list. I wish I had gotten her name! I was in there Saturday evening!
They put lemon pepper seasoning on everything your fries, your fish, your cheese, sticks, your hush puppies you’re a chicken it’s like every box you open up Has lemon pepper seasoning on it. Sometimes they over excessively do it even without you asking I think it should be optional but with them it’s not, and when you bring the other back, they get aggressive and mad.
Best one in whole Detroit if you ask me. Lol I’m from Alabama and be glad to come inside here and see SOMEBODY in Detroit smiling. I be skeptical about letting ppl feed me food with nasty attitudes. They never have bad attitudes. And the food be on point. Best Cole slaw I had in Detroit.
