Rachel, the bartender, was excellent—very attentive and on top of everything. The pizza was also very good. Price per person: $10–20. Food: 5/5. Service: 5/5. Atmosphere: 4/5. Recommended dish: Pizza.
Wolfie's is by far the best thing to happen to Van Buren in a long time. If you've ever wanted to create your own basket of fried appetizers, Wolfie's is the place for you! I indulged in my ideal basket filled with fried cheese, and it was delicious. I also tried the ham and cheese sandwich, which was excellently made with perfectly toasted bread and generous portions. We also sampled the cheesesteak, and I can't wait to order it again. The crinkle-cut fries were plentiful and satisfying as well. As someone who is picky about cooking oil and can easily detect old oil (yuck!), I was pleasantly surprised to find everything here tasted fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend!
What a fantastic little place! We love bumping into the owner whenever we visit. The pool tables are inexpensive, and they have a nice selection of draft beers for such a small venue. Everything is affordable, and the staff is friendly. Overall, I would rate the food a 5, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 5!
