It reminded me of Lyonnaise cuisine, the capital of gastronomy. Price per person: €10–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
Quality traditional Lyonnais cork cuisine in a warm atmosphere and pleasant service. I highly recommend booking. Just a small downside, the wine list is limited in choice... some emblematic wines are missing to accompany all these delicious dishes... Kid-friendliness: Children are accepted but it is more of a restaurant for friends and epicureans. Wheelchair accessibility: Access ramp present outside and inside for access to the toilets. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €40–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Œuf Cocotte
So good, superb welcome! Highly recommend! If you've never experienced the atmosphere of a Bouchon Lyonnais, take a small detour from Geneva to experience the real thing. Cozy atmosphere where tables are pushed close together so patrons can meet and talk and exchange ideas and feelings. Decor includes antique Lyonnais...puppets hung on the wall. Be prepared for a hearty meal Chef Jean-Marc Roman serves classic Lyonnais dishes such as veal sweetbread with multi-kream sauce accompanied by a gratin of pasta with cream; and Andouillette in a mustard sauce with classic gratin of Lyonnais-style potatoes (garbage and cream). Nice appetizers like homemade foie gras and farmer's salad with mixed greens, bacon and eggs. I don't know where Roman finds the stellar but reasonably priced Cotes du Rhone wines he serves by the carafe, but it's worth the trip just for that. Great value at 31 euros for a three course dinner.
