Excellent, simplified menu surpassed by the quality of the food on offer...excellent wine list and prices...go for the Sforzatto, and imagine how good it could have been opened 3 hours before! Heavy food needs a heavy wine!!! Superb Pizzocheri give it a dash or fresh ground pepper and fried cheese balls called Sciat but pronounced like you just had a number 2 were my “light” choices, and the local Sassella wine, as I needed to ski down in a snow storm Sforzatto, tonight for sure! ... Finished with a Bonbardino , and straight to the car to head to the SUBLIME Hotel SOTTOVENTO in Bormio... a trip to Bagni Nouvi this afternoon with KELLER STEAK HOUSE to follow...

The venue is located on the ski slopes of Santa Caterina next to the mountain station of the chair lift form Santa Caterina to the ski slopes. Parking is possible on a public parking lot beneath the restaurant. The have three different kind of seating areas. One outside and one inside area with self-service and one restaurant area with service. We had drinks only, Bombardino and Lumumba which were great. The service is very kind and fast.

If you're skiing in Santa Caterina then Sci 2000 is undoubtedly the best place on the mountain to grab some lunch. Not only is it the best quality food up the hill but also one of the more reasonably priced places to eat. Try the pizza and you wont be disappointed! incidentally, not all Bombardinos are the same and this is also the best place on two planks to get a good one! It gets a bit busy here at the weekends or on a sunny day but for good reason.
