This is the second time I have eaten at Basea, Staff is very welcoming and keen to explain the dishes. There is a good choice of meat, fish and vegetables. This time we ordered the sandwich brioche de papada iberica, the leeks, the asparagus and the chuleton which is served with fries and grilled peppers. All delicious! Desserts are excellent too and wine by the glass is good and well priced. Highly recommended.
After a disappointing dinner the night before in Barcelona we were very much looking forward enjoying a great dinner. And Basea did not disappoint us at all, in fact they even have beaten our high expectations. Basea is a nice, modern but sober decorated restaurant. Much more important to mention are the knowledgeable and very enthusiastic people from the restaurant itself who are clearly fans of good food themselves. Because that is what Basea serves: dishes based on excellent quality and fresh ingredients. Ether being it the fantastic beef carpaccio, the incredibly delicious anchovies or the great turbot. Further very well prepared leak with a delicious hollandaise sauce. Together with great Spanish wines a dinner to remember. Unfortunately they are closed Sundays Mondays otherwise we would have returned in order to discover the rest of the menu. A must go.
Amazing food in a great little place. The staff are super friendly with excellent recommendations and wine choices. The food is superb. The anchovies with smoked butter are perfect and the Papadillo is tomdie for.
