Outstanding dinner menu from start to finish, great service and very responsive follow up to send us the menu to treasure long-term. A real treat worth a repeat visit!

Walked past the following evening and it had one c... read more Walked past here one evening and wondered just what it was doing in the centre of Valence (and it was empty). Walked past the following evening and it had one couple in it. Decided to go in and have a glass of wine and tried a couple of the tapas offerings. There was a very good wine list available, if somewhat on the expenive side. I think the cheapest bottle was 28e, a couple in the 30's and mostly 50e plus. They did have a reasonable chablis by the glass (10e). We also had a couple of glasses of crozes hermitage which were ok (7e each) We had a plate of Iberian meats (17e) and 1/2 doz tempura'd prawns to share (14e). The prawns were a little odd, coming in a slighly crunchy green batter. Given that these are meant to be snacks they were rather expensive. A little later 3 ladies came in for a drink, but that was it for the night. This was on a Friday evening, it had been raining but had stopped earlier and most of the main restaurants were either full or close to full. I cannot believe that this place can survive with such a small amount of custom.
