C'est la Vie Cafe - Val-David

The dishes at this restaurant are a good size and made with fresh ingredients. The service is very friendly and the decor has a whimsical and rustic charm. They offer a wide variety of morning beverages, including matcha, nettle tea, cortados, and more.

I have tried most of the lunch spots in Val-David and have been somewhat disappointed. However, my first visit to C'est La Vie Café this past weekend was a pleasant surprise. The café has a spacious deck for outdoor dining in the summer, and the service was prompt compared to other places in town. My friends enjoyed their breakfast dishes, and I had the roasted veggie sandwich, which was delicious. My only complaint is that when we tried to order the goat cheese salad at 12:45, we were told salads were not available and had to order breakfast instead. However, 15 minutes later at 1pm, other patrons were getting salads. It felt like they were trying to turnover tables quickly, but I wish they had just been honest about the wait time. Regardless, I would give C'est La Vie Café another chance, but maybe after 1pm next time.

The home made lemonade and iced teas at this restaurant are excellent! The cheesecake in a jar is also fabulous and delicious. The owners are wonderful as well. Highly recommend!
