They did a great remodel and it looks like a comfortable place to dine. We did take out. There is an 18% add on for take out, but they were very upfront about that so it was not an issue for us. Pizza and impossible burger and calamari were ordered. Generally they were all prepared well and the combinations of flavors were good, but they are very heavy handed with the salt. For some in the group, the calamari was too... View all feedback.
Reposting a review that I was forced to remove b/c my fiancé was pressured by VRC/Heirloom management to remove (UPDATE: I was blocked from re posting my opinion by this business on Facebook. This restaurant has a clear issue with handling legitimate customer complaints)Had an extremely unpleasant experience during COVID last summer. We were living (as my fiancé worked front desk for VRC) at VRC and ordered multiple dinner entrees that were less than satisfying especially for the high prices. For our last meal, I ordered a bison Bolognese that was over salted to the point that I couldn't even stomach more than a couple of bites.... There was no sort of discounted pricing during COVID (which was the case at even the most reputable 4 5 star restaurants in the area) and my fiancé was NEVER offered any discount despite her employment at the VRC where she received more than her share of Heirloom related requests. To make matters worse, my original review of my bad experience was not responded to with apologies instead, management bickered back and forth about my review and eventually intimated my fiancé to have me pull the review down. Was never offered a refund, free entrée, or even an apology for a very expensive meal that went to waste.....Prices are about even with other places around the valley but quality falls well below what you'd hope for given what you're paying. Okay atmosphere but very small dining area with extremely limited seating. Would be great to have a good dining option at this location in East Vail but the Heirloom management and staff kept us away when we lived just feet from the door.
For some in the group, the calamari was too salty to eat. It's great to have a nice place in east vail, and I'd probably order again, but I'd ask them to go light on the salt or no salt at all.
Ordered a Tomato Bisque and the Funghi Pizza. Both were amazing! The soup was very tasty and the pizza really tasted like truffle. I would recommend it!
Such a great spot in East Vail! Cozy and quaint with an amazing wait staff.... our waitress was super attentive and friendly. We had a delicious Caesar and an equally awesome chopped salad. The pizza was outstanding! Like better than expected. And the Pizzookie... just get it. You might need two . Make a reservation!
We enjoyed a delightful evening with a delicious meal Wednesday evening. The new chef, along with an interesting menu, make eating at the Heirloom worthwhile. We highly recommend the Mussels!
