I dine out frequently and have encountered many poorly managed establishments with various justifications for mediocre food and service. However, this experience was different. We were seated quickly, and our server was exceptionally attentive. The food was surprisingly high-quality, especially for a bowling alley. The prices were reasonable, and they even validated our parking. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. A big thank you to the owner and our server from San Diego. Truly fantastic!
I went here with my friend for dinner and bowling. Our waiter was French, and so he misheard when we ordered the Crudite and accidentally gave us a Charcuterie Board instead. I told the waiter that if they didn’t want to waste the food, we could keep it and just be charged for the crudite we ordered, without getting the crudite. The waiter was apologetic and agreed to that solution. However, as we were about to pay our bill, the manager approached us and told us we must pay for the charcuterie since we ate it. We explained that we had told the waiter it wasn’t what we ordered, and we ate it with the knowledge we would only be charged for the crudite. The manager was incredibly rude and unaware. Keep in mind we were already paying almost $200 for 90 minutes of bowling on top of the coat of food… I would expect much better service and courtesy. I hope this manager is fired and someone realizes he is hurting business with his ego. He would rather throw food in the garbage than own up to a mistake.
We’ve been to Deca Bol every year since coming to Vail and every time? It’s been consistently amazing! While I haven’t read the other reviews to see why Deca Bol’s rating is pretty low at 4.2 at this moment while I’m reviewing it, I think at the very least they deserve a 4.4 and up. Why? Their service has been on point regardless of whom we have as waiters/waitresses and busboys/girls. Their management team must be doing something right here. Despite the rather low rating, their turn out from whenever we were here has always made it appear they were a pretty hot spot for groups/get togethers. Not to mention, the spacious decor was on par and there’s always something for everyone. Whether you want to plop yourself down for a drink and sit at the bar to watch sports, they’ve got that. Food allergies, restrictions, or preferences? Sure, they’ve got it pat down and with a smile. You want to celebrate a special occasion like a birthday? Deca Bol’s easily got you on this too. (And there’s always a celebration going on. Fun! You want to play a round or two or more of bowling? It’s a no brainer, they’re all for it. We all dig how casual yet fun and engaging this joint has been. On top of that, the food’s pretty awesome. We haven’t had a bad meal here. Everyone’s dishes turned out delicious. Our waiter who hailed from Boston was probably the best we’ve had on all our yearly trips here but trust us all the waiters/waitresses were awesome and let’s not forget, the busboys/girls. You simply cannot go wrong. Pat yourself on the back, you’re doing a stupendous job here and we can’t wait to come back again!

Overall, my dining experience at the restaurant was quite enjoyable. The modern decor beautifully complements the fusion cuisine. The staff are friendly and clearly enjoy interacting with customers. Their style is more relaxed, as they don't focus heavily on the formal arrangement of tables or the placement of plates and drinks. We ordered the beef tartare and tuna poke, both of which were outstanding. However, the rare New York strip steak was cooked a bit more than we anticipated. The wedge salad and short rib were good, but there are other places in town that prepare similar dishes even better. Still, this restaurant stands out as a solid choice for dining in Vail—casual yet offering a commendable menu selection.
What a pleasant surprise! High end design (lighting, music seating). Menu from which you can order shareable plates or your own entrees. Great cocktails and wine. Cap it off with smart attentive service. Shout out to Steve who made our experience exceptional. bowling (which we did not do, but enjoyed peeking in on).
The atmosphere is one-of-a-kind, trying to blend the elegance of an upscale restaurant with the fun of a bowling alley—definitely an unusual pairing. The Reuben sandwich was tasty, but the burger was small, dry, and overpriced. Service was also slow; I had to wait quite a while with an empty drink while our server chatted at the bar.
I recently had one of the best dining experiences in quite a while! The food was outstanding; I especially enjoyed the tuna tacos and the halibut. The service was excellent, with friendly and efficient staff. It was the best meal we had during our time in Vail!
The food was decent, but not worth the high prices. The service was just average; they forgot some of the items we ordered and it turned out they hadn’t even placed those orders at all. The ambiance felt off—too modern for my taste—and the temperature inside the restaurant was incredibly cold. Overall, it was overpriced and I won’t be returning.
