What Heather Hodson doesn't like about Divine Indian:
Terrible experience!! I recently ordered takeout from this restaurant and requested spinach in my vindaloo. When the delivery person arrived, she rudely asked for an extra pound for the spinach. I explained that my husband had ordered it and she responded dismissively, telling me to remind him next time. I also ordered poppadoms, but they arrived without any sauce or salad, unlike other Indian restaurants I've ordere... View all feedback.
A group of 7 of us attempted to eat at Divine on Saturday 13th April we hadn 't prebooked but were told that a table would likely be available in 20 minutes or so. We left a contact number. After around 30 minutes without a call, I popped back in to check whether the table was available. I was told it would probably be 20 minutes... In 20 minutes, the 7 of us arrived. After a short wait (with no apology for the wait) we were seated and our drinks order taken. Drinks arrived within a reasonable time. Around 30 minutes passed without being approached to place our order so we got the attention of the waiting staff who assured us we would be attended to imminently. Another 10 minutes or so later, we asked again whether we would be able to place our order. We were told he 'd be straight with us. We were still not able to place our order, so made the decision to leave. On asking for the bill, the lady claiming to be the manager of the restaurant approached us. We told her we felt we had been waiting an unreasonable amount of time. Her response was to react with aggression, arguing loudly that we had not been left to wait (she perhaps thought we wanted to sit around with no food and empty glasses), and no apology whatsover for the poor service. The manager of this restaurant was easily the rudest 'host ' I have had the misfortunate to come across. Her behaviour was almost Basil Fawltyesque but without the comedy. The rest of the staff, while not displaying the degree of rudeness shown by their supervisor, were generally disinterested. I would advise giving this place a very wide berth, the attitude we were subjected to was completely unacceptable, however good the food may be.

A group of us tried to eat april on Saturday, we had not booked, but they said that a table would probably be available in minutes or so. we left a contact number. after about minutes without calling, I came back to check if the table was available. I said it was probably just minutes. in a few minutes we arrived. after a short wait (without apology for the waiting period) we sat and took our beverage order. drinks arrived within a reasonable time. about minutes past, without approaching to placing our order, we got the attention of the waiting staff, which assures us that we visit immediately upcoming. a few more minutes or so later we asked again if we can give up our order. we said he was just with us. we were still not able to place our order so that the decision to leave. in the demand for the bill that claims to be the manager of the restaurant approached us. we told her we felt that we had expected an inappropriate time. their answer was to react with aggression, loud to argue that we had not been left waiting (maybe we wanted to sit around without food and empty jars), and no apologise what about the bad service. the manager of this restaurant was simply the most rude guest I had to get the unfortunate. her behavior was almost basil fawltyesque, but without the komödie. the rest of the staff, without showing the degree of restlessness shown by their supervisor, was generally uninterested. I would advise myself to give this place a very big place, the attitude we were subjected to was totally unacceptable, but good can be eating.
