Good food, good service by helpful staff and nothing seems to much trouble for them. Wonderful pizzas from a real pizza oven freshly made to your choice. A decent garden for the kids to play. A decent car park that seems to be full on most days. Booking is advisable as it is a popular place to eat. When I see some reviews about The Gate, I have to wonder if some people have actually been there to eat, poor food, poor service etc. I wonder if they are trying to do a disservice to a great eating house?
