I had a nice experience visiting Kim's Tea Coffee House last weekend. Some customers appeared to be very passionate about the restaurant's stance on masks, sanitizers, and COVID-19 precautions. While I may not agree with their stance, I respect their right to operate their business as they see fit. The staff greeted me warmly and the coffee was delicious. View all feedback.
What Dave S doesn't like about Kim's Tea And Coffee House:
If you're searching for a spot to host your alt-right conspiracy-loving group, look no further than Kim's Tea Coffee House. Tired of being ridiculed or rejected due to your thinly veiled anti-Semitism? No matter how absurd your beliefs may be, Kim's has your back. I was just looking for a peaceful coffee and meal, but instead was confronted with a harsh reality of the darker corners of the internet. The owners can on... View all feedback.
We went to this tea rooms for a nice chilled cuppa but that’s not what we got ! Whilst entering the premises the lady was tutting and complaining about customers sitting outside. We did think this was odd but carried on to an inside table as we were abruptly told there’s no room outside. We all sat in shock and waited and waited but no one came . We had a buggy with us maybe this is why we got ignored . We decided to leave because of the atmosphere and constant huffing and puffing about customers . Before leaving we told them we were very upset and would be putting a review on trip advisor. The gentleman then said “ we always get that” and he seemed to think he had an answer for all of the comments on trip advisor and that would make it all ok !!
Good coffee but that is the only good thing. Took my young children with me and from the way I was glared at by the owners I am guessing children are not particularly welcome. I have a feeling you need to be over the age of 70 to be made to feel welcome. Rude staff and zero atmosphere. There seemed to be far far nicer coffee shops in the town that I wish I had tried instead.
This is a 'real ' place. Sorry about the cliche. A human not automaton greeting and service. I have one more of the hot chocolate choices on the menu to try. The first few have all been excellent so full of proper flavours. I have also had some of the best jam and crumpets I can remember. Kim 's has become my go to.
The owners of this tea shop make it very obvious that they're covid sceptics. Shame as it detracts from the pleasant setting. If we'd realised this before we ordered we would have left.
I enjoyed a pleasant visit to Kim's Tea Coffee House over the Bank Holiday weekend.A lot of people seem very agitated about their position on masks, sanitisers and COVID although fail to realise this is their business and they can operate it however they want.I don't agree with their position at all but I stand by their right to express it.The welcome was warm and the coffee was delicious.
