De Oude Muntkelder Utrecht

This is a really cute Cafe along the canal in the centre of Utrecht. You have to walk down the steps to the path down alongside the actual canal, beneath the street level. I can imagine sitting outdoors in the summer time here would be beautiful. I got the carrot cake and hot chocolate with whipped cream to warm up. As with all the hot chocolate in this country, it was pretty tasty. The whipped cream comes on the site and was delectable. The carrot cake was also quite good; a little tough but had a nice citrus glaze on it. Far better than the overly-sweet cream cheese icing you often get. My friend had a traditional Dutch pancake and said it was very good, although I didn't try it (not a fan, myself, I've found). The seating is slightly awkward inside and the service was rather slow for being fairly empty. The waitress was very sweet though. I would come back here in the summer time to get outdoor seating and enjoy a cold drink, definitely a quaint spot on the canal with decent snack and desert food.

Uitstekend eten voor een lage prijs. De kapsalon is niet vet, maar heeft heerlijke frietjes en lekker vlees. Ik weet zeker dat ik hier weer zal eten als ik in de buurt ben. Het personeel is vriendelijk.

The best kapsalon I had in The Netherlands. I 've tried many, some in Den Haag some in Amsterdam, but this was my favorite. There is a catch though. I asked the owner to give me something special. He started enumerating the different types of Kapsalon they had, I said why don 't you mix all of that in one plate ? he said they don 't normally offer that, and with the extra this and that it would cost me a bit more than 10€, I said it was fine ! I watched him preparing the thing, getting excited as he added one thing after the other. I thought it had to be either the best or the worst Kapsalon, but nothing in between :P Once he gave me the plate, I started eating it on the spot not even taking a seat, and OH GOD HOW HOT AND YUMMY IT WAS . When I finished and went to pay, he said he thought a good price would be 12€, but seeing the happy me complementing the food, he only asked for 10€, which was a very good deal considering how delicious it was :3

Eten is heerlijk altijd netjes. Service was perfect. En heel vriendelijk

Shoarma, as it should be. Good food, classic onion tomato sauce (hard to find these days) super friendly staff, I cannot think of a better place for shoarma in Utrecht. Excellent!
