Perfectly grilled txuleta, impressive cider house. Typical no nonsense Basque service! Enjoyed every bit(e) of the evening. Will come back to try the spider crab and vegan options.
If you are on the road from Zarau to San Sebastian this could be the place for a nice lunch. You will taste the best cider in the Basque Country and eat the best beef meat on earth! The price for this is really a bargain!including all the cider you can drink .
I went here with a large group of colleagues and for a business dinner it was a nice experience. Marching to the cider casks and taking turns collecting a sample was good fun. The atmosphere was fun for all. The food was good to very good depending on the course and the menu you choose. This is not a fine dining experience but it is a good fun dining experience. I see similar places on the internet and the menus seem to be identical. Worth a try I think for work group, friends, etc..
First time in a cider Hall. But very easy to get in the spirit of things. Good food in very nice portions great atmosphere. Don't worry if you don't like cider it's still a great experience in Basque country.
First you should like Cider from the barrel! But, they have beer and wine. We ate mixed starters, then had two [for four people] Rib Steaks with salad. One was cooked to perfection, the other a bit under cooked [well browned but 'cold ' in the middle] Served with chips which have to be ordered separately. The service, in a very quiet lunch time was too casual, having to shout for service! But, the food and value were excellent. Best to go with friends for a social occasion.
