Contribute FeedbackWe visited here on two nights of our stay. The first night there was a bit of a queue but it did not take too long to be seated. I had seafood rice which was delightful. The second night both my partner and I opted for pizza, these were both very tasty and filling. Unfortunately the next morning we were both ill and needing the toilet. A real shame considering the food seemed good.
Very busy restaurant with about 70-80 covers squeezed into a room so expect noise and jostling as people move around. Popular as by local standards it’s reasonable value and a simple menu also in English. Portion sizes ok (just) and reasonable service but beware of possible queues to get in at busy periods.
Simple dishes, typical of Argentinian cuisine: milanesas, pasta, etc. Big portions and good price. The waiters are running from one table to the other and do their best to serve customers.
Just finished dinner at El Turo. The food was made of tinned ingredients, or tasted that way. The serve staff were officious and impersonal. They impose a levy for use of cutlery. When my wife and I ordered a large bottle of water to share, they insisted they could only provide one glass per drink I drank from the bottle. I won't get into the hassles of paying. If your looking for something a little less expensive in Ushuaia and don't mind bland food and bad service, El Turco could work.
The food was very good but the friendly, cheeky waiter who loved stirring guests was simply the best. Made the meal enjoyable and this place is packed a testament to the good food.
