Upon arrival that is what we... read more We went after locals recommended to visit a cidreria if we wanted a typical basque dinner. We were told to order the cidreria menu. Upon arrival that is what we did. The menu was 33€ each and with it offering an all you can drink menu we didn't expect much. Once the food starting coming it got better and and better! We started with tortilla de bacalao followed with monkfish, then a humongous beef steak and finally with a platter of cheese, walnuts and jelly. We've been to many restaurants ranging in prices but we've never been more full and more satisfied with the price food ratio. The staff were very friendly. The only thing that could have been a bit better if anything, would be the setting which was a canteen like seating arrangement. However, this did not take away anything from the experience... And a few bottles of cider later, you couldn't care less where you're sat

Dinner for two, starter, main course, 1 bottle of Sidra, 1 glass of wine, 2 Chupitos 120, Euro? And the bill is no longer there? What do you call that? Cena para dos, entrante, plato principal, 1 botella de Sidra, 1 copa de vino, 2 Chupitos 120, Euros? ¿Y la factura ya no existe? ¿Cómo se llama eso? never ever....

On the one hand, the food is delicious, both the menu of the day and the special occasion menus. The restaurant has several different areas that create a unique atmosphere in each of them. On the other hand, the staff is very attentive and always wants to make the customer feel comfortable and at ease. Finally, the surroundings of the restaurant have beautiful views that allow you to enjoy the scenery as well as take some nice pictures to remember.
