This was my first time and will be my last visit.I ordered the catfish and I'm not sure it was even catfish and I asked if it could be blackened because I didn't want the breading and I substituted brocolini for the fries was suppose to also come with Cole slaw..The fish was not blackened unless you count the breading that was fried to a black crisp and so hard it was crunchy, the fish was dry, no flavor..couldn't eat it..the side looked like they went outside and pulled weeds, no coleslaw. Brought it home to feed to wildlife and I'm not sure if they will even eat it.They were shorthanded. Our waitress was also playing the part of bartender and they definitely need someone who knows how to cook and handle a kitchen. Was really so disappointed.It also took over an hour to get my food

I have eaten at Half Shell several times and it’s always a great experience. Last evening it was still a wonderful time but I truly want give the young lady Torino) a huge thank you and the best compliment ever. We’re assuming the rest of wait staff called out holiday weekend) and she was bartending, waiting tables, busing tables, and just doing it all. About 50 people 8 families) came in around the same time, overwhelmingly for anyone; the cook staff and her made everyone’s experience one of the best. I’m a control freak and I truly wanted to pitch in and help, so I just want to give the highest compliment possible to Torina and the cook staff ever. Thank you all. YOU ALL DESERVE A RAISE!!!!!!! Fire those who baled out.

We went here for dinner on a Tuesday night at 7:30. They were not busy but there were several dirty tables that had not been cleaned. We waited to be seated as the sign asks. We waited a full 10 minutes, no one greeted us. The bartender looked directly at us, so we thought that he would let someone know that we were there but still no one acknowledged our existence. At this point, we decided that it would be better to leave rather than eat someplace where the staff clearly does not care about service. Will not go back.
