A great venue for Wedding Reception, not so large you share your day with another 'Group', but plenty of room to party. Staff were friendly and efficient without being intrusive. Food good and plentiful. Obliging barman (one of the beers served was flat though). View all feedback.
What Jerome Jenkins doesn't like about Stewarts at Brookleigh:
I went to Stewarts after reading the reviews on trip advisor. As we walked into the restaurant, which looked quite bare and lacked a bit of ambience, we noticed directly in front of us a whole lot of plastic tupperware containers. Funny to have these in the foyer we thought. The waiter was exceptional as was the owner (we think he was the owner). The wine was delicious and the food was ok. The salmon a bit overcooked... Sometimes you just have to eat your humble apple pie and admit that you are wrongAnd I was.
Such a great setting that complimented so well with the food and the occasion that I was celebrating.
One of our favorite romantic restaurants. Seasonal menu with some really great dishes. Fine dining at it's best.
It was our annual wine appreciation Christmas lunch, of us whom have been meeting monthly for nearly years for food and wine. We were very surprised to find we were the only lunch table booked, due to the fact that staff out front...and in the kitchen are unable to be found, and those that do are too lazy to work. However, this in no way impacted our experience, on the contrary, the entire hours were filled with superlative service and wonderful food. Front of house, waiter and just all round nice gentleman, Gary also made our experience enjoyable and I don't think we scared him too much as the red wine, chatter, reminiscing and laughter echoed through the room. The entrees, mains and desert's were well proportioned, in fact so much that we struggled to get though the extra sides, as well as well presented and perfectly cooked. Stand outs were the entree scollops, white bait and garlic bread, mains of steak, cobbler, chicken and a comfit duck. While most were full, a couple of us levered in the coffee Martini brulee...yum. Add to this a good selection of wine, there were no complaints at all. We will return
There were in our group and there was only one other table there. We were seated in a separate area from the other table and we felt out on the wooden floor on our own. There was no atmosphere created, and the whole restaurant...was dated and in need of attention and artistic flair! Its not cheap, the food is average (I had the groper) which was inedible and all I had was vegetables, which cost We will not be going back!
