Trophy Tavern - Upper Darby
Trophy Tavern
Description
Nestled in a small town, this bar evokes a mix of nostalgia and controversy. While some patrons appreciate its welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff, others have reported disturbing incidents, including racial slurs from the bartender, drawing attention to outdated and harmful attitudes. Complaints of laziness among staff and a smoky environment further taint the experience. Customers also note issues with closing times, as doors appear to lock prematurely despite ongoing patronage. Despite these polarizing experiences, some still cherish the bar as a local favorite for relaxing with friends and enjoying games like darts. However, the overall sentiment remains deeply divided.

I absolutely love this bar! It's a fantastic spot to relax and catch the game. I always have a great time here, and the people are wonderful.
The only thing I took away from my experience here, which feels stuck in the past, is the racist behavior of the bartender. He used a racial slur directly towards me. It seems like this place harbors some very outdated and harmful attitudes.
Today, the chef did an outstanding job with the menu and couldn't have been more pleasant.
The takeout was good and the beer was served ice-cold. However, the restaurant primarily caters to a Caucasian clientele and is no longer serving food.
I give this place five stars because I went there to meet my friend and spend some time together. I played darts and briefly tried the Pennsylvania skill machine, but didn't purchase anything. What I appreciated most was that no one bothered me while I was there. That's why they earn five stars in my book!
