Lard Lad Donuts - Universal City

The biggest donut we ever had!!! We saw that a Youtuber presented this huge pink donut so we ordered the Big Pink Donut in Lard Lad Donuts in Unviersal Studios. This monster size donut was really delicious and it was $10 but enough for 3 people!!!! These donuts are iconic so you should not miss it at Universal Studios!

The donuts are surprisingly not bad. Definitely better than what you get in a grocery store. Frosting is not only sugar freezing with pink dye, so it is unique. My problem with them is, there is only one size and it is family size. It's not fun to carry around or throw half away. If you are with 4 or more people, it is clear. Make a regular donut, Sheesh.

The rich chocolate taste and the moist texture made it perfect. The ambience of the place is charming, with colorful decor that you feel as if you were created in a classic donut shop. The service was friendly and efficient and the seating area was comfortable and clean. What Lard Lad Donuts distinguishes from other donut shops is the variety of flavors and sizes they offer. They have everything from classic glazed donuts to extravagant creations with candy and frost. They even have vegan and gluten-free options for those with food restrictions. The only reason I pulled off a star is that prices are slightly high compared to other donut shops. However, the quality and variety of donuts make it worth the additional costs. If Lard Lad Donuts would lower their prices a bit or offered some sort of loyalty program, it would attract even more for customers to come back. Overall, I recommend Lard Lad Donuts to everyone with a sweet tooth. The double chocolate donut was a standout, but there are many other flavors also to try. The friendly service and the charming ambience make it a great place to visit with friends or family. I will definitely be back for more

I had heard amazing things about Lard Lard Donuts and was delighted to eat their pink donuts. I was soon disappointed by the quality of donut and the service they provided to us. I was in a very long line for the donut that lasted almost 40 minutes. I would have understood why there was a long line, except that the employees have always received a simple donut that has already been made. There was a random person with a cooking hat that randomly observes the lines and absolutely does nothing. The real donut was terrible! I had expected the donut at least decent quality, but there was a lot of sugar and had no taste. I shared it with three of my friends and we were glad that we had not splurgitized about the purchase of four different donuts, because one was sufficient. If you choose a donut from Lard Lad Donuts, I suggest you buy it before you get on the studio tour because the studio tour allows you to bring food on the ride. Overall, the experience was overwhelming and sad. Definitely not worth all hype and attention, but at least it wasn't too expensive.
