Spectacular view of the river. Good food priced right. Order the calamari appetizer However, the place needs an update from dark and grungy floors and woodwork to something cleaner and bright. Staff do not wear masks. View all feedback.
After many many years of serving the community and being a really special place to go for celebrations, Iowa River power is closing its doors in less than a week. A truly sad week for Iowa City!
Such a great restaurant!! I started with the shrimp cocktail, which was good and came with a delicious cocktail sauce. The bread is very soft and comes with honey butter, that has just a hint of sweetness. My sirloin came with a wonderful, crunchy caesar salad that I highly recommend, a baked potato, and green beans. I ordered the sirloin medium rare and it was a perfect red on the inside. For dessert, I got to try the raspberry cheesecake and crème brûlée. The cheesecake was a great mix of tart and creamy. The crème brûlée was so smooth and not too rich. Great restaurant with so many options I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!
What a Gem!! Visiting for Iowa parents weekend and we stumbled upon this fantastic restaurant for brunch. A+
