Merchants Of Ultimo

Had breakfast at Merchants of Ultimo, two days in a row. Also tried the desserts of an evening.Breakfast was fresh, delicious and we'll worth the money. Tried the Fruit salad and seasonal granola $15, Eggs on toast $12 and Truffle Mushroom $16. All were tasty and fresh.Later in the day we sampled the IIe Flottante and the Strawberry Tart. Both were sweet and delicious.Staff were friendly.I recommend this restaurant if you are in the area.

This place has a great vibe.I encountered friendly service and the waiter was happy to find me a comfy seat as opposed to a stool at a bar type table.You can create your own salad, have a pizza or burger or coffee and the most amazing cakes youve ever seen.Merchants serves alcoholic drinks too.

I've been here twice recently and loved the Brekkie Bowl and Chai Latte both visits. The Lemon Meringue tart was delicious as well. I liked the music, the nuts in my smashed avocado, the smoke from the wood fire pizza, and the cheerful lighting. It's quite an energetic atmosphere and I felt invigorated by the food and the ambience.

I visited for lunch and they had a wide variety of food to choose from. They also let you design your own salad which is what I did. The variety is great but having to pay extra for some ingredients such as avocado and tomato was disappointing considering there was such a tiny amount of these included in the salad. The value and waiting times wasn't the best but I'd still like to try some other things they had available.

Simple order large flat white (hot) , long black & heated muffin.Got the long black right. Received large cap & cold muffin. Told would rectify the coffee. The coffee arrive much later & very weak. I believe the barista got square. Why bother taking orders at all. Never again.
