Was Tuna at Brainwave Café a mag?
omg this katsu-don was so much better than i expected! I ordered it with egg because i’ve only recently begun to slowly settle into a plant-based life. It was super tasty and the portion is huge for the price! so worth it! The boss was really nice as well. Will definitely be back to try the other dishes!! View all feedback.
What meeel dislikes about Brainwave Café:
The food is delicious and convenient to have in the Haymarket/CBD area. Some menu items are unique and not found in any other vegan restaurants in Sydney (such as hainanese chicken, jajangmyun, etc.). However, in terms of taste and price, I still prefer other vegan Asian/Chinese restaurants. View all feedback.

As we a friend in the city that is vegan, we decided to give this restaurant a try. with many items on the menu that looked well known, even with a vegan twist, we were pleasantly surprised how good, filling abundant the meal was....While our escaped net came at the same time, we had a whole series of foods on the table. the portions of each plate were considerable, which corresponds to more food than necessary. the options were delicious, did not make us feel that we missed on something. we had the “Schmuck”, Massaman-Curry, “prawn” cashew stir fry together with some starters. it was great, though our least popular was the “Prawns”. Maybe it played with our heads too much, as it looked, like real garnel. that is a definitiw must try!
We have eaten here a few times and eating is really interesting and delicious. it is quite different from other vegan sites and we look forward to trying the whole menu.
The food was excellent for vegan (laksa and other dishes.) highly recommended. this is a hidden gem, a small gasse path.
This is a vegetarian vegan caffe especially with focus on Asian cuisine. the menu is big and I had the vegan laksa $14.50) it was incredibly hot, spicy and delicious. I also had a blue avo smoothie $7.50), which had blueberry jam, avocado and...cococo milk. it was very nice. would definitely go back to try some of their other dishes.
Thank you so much for the hospitality shown to myself and my pregnant girlfriend. This was such a great experience from the gentleman on the til to the mains and then dessert. I am a meat eater and I want to come back!! Thank you!
This hidden gem of a café may not catch your eye from the outside, but once you step in, you are in for a treat. Offering a fusion of Asian and Western cuisines, the dishes are described as delicious and the coffee is top-notch. The Thai influenced burgers and green curry with tofu are highly recommended. The staff are known for being friendly and accommodating, making it a welcoming spot for a quick snack or a study session. With uplifting decorations and a cozy atmosphere, this café is definitely worth a visit, especially to try their pandan and coconut soft serve ice cream. Whether you're looking for a quick breakfast or a relaxing spot away from the city rush, Brainwave Café is sure to impress with its quality food and exceptional service.

The portion sizes are generous, and the chickpea mushrooms were delicious. The pancake was also tasty; I would recommend pairing it with the Thai milk tea ice cream.
Brainwave is one of my favorite places in Ultimo! They put a creative, thoughtful, and vegan twist on classic dishes and it always delivers. The staff is friendly and the service is great. It is cute and not at all pretentious (like many other vegan places . Vegan or not, try this place for wonderful food and service. : We will return again and again!
Absolutely love this place. Coffee is amazing too! Right next to UTS, love how adventurous the menu is! Will be visiting very often :
Lovely little cafe with lots of vegan and vegetarian options.<br/ <br/ Great decaffeinated coffee which didn't taste too milky.<br/ <br/ Outdoor section didn't have a nice view as it's located in a random alley.
Brainwave cafe isn’t a bad little cafe. The service is decent. The menu is lacking a tad but other then that it isn’t a bad place. The food is good and fairly priced.

Five of us made dinner reservations at Brainwave, our first time dining there... and it exceeded our expectations. We decided to share five dishes and each one was absolutely delightful. We will definitely be returning.
The restaurant is in a small laneway just opposite Central Station. Very nice place with outdoor and indoor seating areas, friendly staff and good atmosphere. Have been here twice (tried 4 dishes in total together with my partner) which ranged from average fried up Asian noodles to great starters. Would definitely give it another try, they have a huge range of dishes.
Used to love this place but it’s gone down hill massively. Food quality has slipped and is now a bit lifeless, the customer service is cold and uncomfortable and the general vibe of sitting there just isn’t as nice. Given it several attempts recently, such a shame!!
This restaurant is a fun place to dine at, with incredibly delightful staff members.
I work in the city and craved some yummy vegan food. Ordered a very nice panang curry. Will be back
