What Engelbert Menzel dislikes about Cafe Si!:
we were for the first time in the café si. beautiful, small restaurant on two flats. everything makes a tasteful impression. negatiw falls on water only in 0.5l false for eur 4,00 (frechheit.) no current wine card! operation extremely friendly. small card, what positiw notices. appetizer garnel pan for expensive eur 15,50 expensive but tasty. grilled vegetables expensive and at best cut. the meat of the mains went so... We wanted to go to another restaurant but it was closed on Mondays. We did not excpect much from this little italian eatery. They had a few lunch deals and so we just picked something from the signs outside. They didn't have the special pasta...with salmon so they said they would whip something up. The restaurant is in a beautiful little old building with wooden beams and mirrors all along the ceiling. Out server named Mustafa, even had a poem about him written on the walls. Overall the vibe was very casual and friendly for a monday midday. Turns out Mustafa was very popular as even a random business person commented how he is the only reason he still lives in Ulm. Our food as AMAZING, the gnochies were from heaven and my salmon and pasta was al dente and delicious. When the bill came we were amazed again, only euro per dish!!!! thi would have been at least twice as much in San Francisco or what I would expect. Def. go here and have lunch if you can.

This restaurant was close to my lovely small Hotel am Neuthor on a quiet street near the Bread Museum in the former Salt Warehouse. The restaurant is compact, with two levels, a bar where people were convivially gathered but not noisily, and with tables arranged...not too close to each other. Mirrors enlarge the apparent space. The owner seems to be Turkish and the cuisine is a very pleasant mixture of Mediterranean dishes with familiar Italian specialties. The service by a younger worman who might be the owner's relative, was excellent. I warmly recommend this modern and yet cosy restaurant. I think the ground floor is accessible for disabled visitors but an inquiry would be prudent.

Disappointing and prejudiced – we left immediately. We were initially greeted warmly, but then seated at by far the least attractive outdoor table – in the middle of the terrace, right next to a large shrub that was uncomfortably close to the seating area. A relaxing stay there was hardly possible. Other, much better tables were free and unreserved. While handing out the menus, the waitress suddenly asked, Does everyone here even speak German? – even though up until then, German had been spoken to us quite naturally. The question seemed to have been asked solely based on the outward appearance of some of the people. In this context, this was simply disturbing to us and clearly seemed prejudiced. It gave the impression that guests who don 't fit the expected clientele are deliberately treated worse. I won 't spend my money in a place like that. We left the restaurant immediately – and instead felt very welcome at Pinocchio 's Pizza Workshop. Friendly, attentive, and respectful – that 's exactly what gastronomy should be.

A top-notch restaurant for dining. If you prefer something a little quieter and more relaxed, this is the place for you. The tables, spread across two floors, are inviting and far from the hustle and bustle. The food is always a delight. Whether it's steak, pasta, or fish dishes, everything tastes great here. Thumbs up for this restaurant Highly recommended
