Feedback
I have visited Bibraud on different occasions along the last years, since the traditional Guckhuerle changed hands and became an aspiring restaurant. The chef has progressed significantly and nowadays it is arguably the most interesting restaurant in Ulm. A Michelin star is not entirely out...of the question. BUT, and this is a bit but, instead of merging with the neighbourhood and engage with the locals, the restaurant seems to have opted for becoming a nuisance for the neighbourhood with their constant event organization and loud music to entertain the whole street. I do not understand well the strategy. Michelin or successor to Cappo? There is absolutely no need to disturb the people living in the street, one can have music for the guests to enjoy but not becoming a club in the middle of a residential area. The complete lack of respect for the neighbours, which in our case WERE also customers, is totally unacceptable. I have personally complained, went inside the restaurant= and tell the waiters about the disturbance to be told “ja, ja, danke”. This is not a civilised way to proceed and we cannot continue visiting a restaurant that does not care for their neighbourhood and their neighbours. I doubt the Michelin inspectors will be impressed by the DJ and the sound table, perhaps they will prefer good, inspiring food in a cosy environment. For other ways of live, some old institutions round the corner have much more character…
A date night for me and my other half whilst our toddler kept the babysitter busy! The restaurant was recommended to me by our head Chef in the restaurant where I work so I knew it must be good! I was even better than I...could imagine! We felt hungry so we both decided on the 5 course menu! The food was original, fresh, tasty and served by wonderful staff. We were so full after the two main dishes that we almost cancelled dessert. But thank God we didn't as it was out of this world! The restaurant itself is homely and welcoming. My only very light criticism would be that sometimes the waitresses spoke to fast and quiet to u understand what dish they were presenting. Other than that a perfect night out and looking forward to my next visit!
