The staff is friendly, competen... read more We have been dining here?mostly for breakfast?for several years and Stan?s has been consistently impressive in terms of service. The staff is friendly, competent, and attentive. The menu has changed a bit recently, both in selections and pricing. Thetraditional American breakfasts and the Mexican offerings like huevos rancheros are generally very good, as are the Benedicts.It is to my great disappointment, however, that the chicken fried steak, once a staple of our visits, has really declined inquality. The breading, once crispy as the name might imply, is now rather squishy and unsatisfying; the meat itself is poorlytenderized, tough, and rather flavorless. I mention this both as a lament for the way it was and in the hope that Stan?s willget the message and resume making this favorite dish delicious again.
