This is a strange experience. We were here once for breakfast and very happy about it so we decided to come back to try more bbq and smoked menu. The burger was massive and black in color, and we also ordered a rib basket.
Sad example of a pandemic impacted small business. There were a significant number of closed restaurants in the downtown area so options were limited. The place was quite unkempt and only one waitress was working. She was very friendly and tried her best. The flies were out of control, apparently due to nearby Lake Mendocino having dried up.
We just came inside and waited 10 minutes, only to have the patrons behind us be seated first, leaving no tables for us. pretty rude to make us wait 10 minutes with children only to ignore us and seat the guests who arrived after us. i know your busy but i thought every customer counts. we have been many times but will not be dining there ever again.

The Covid safety precautions were well-implemented, with tables placed far apart. The atmosphere was pleasant, with music playing both indoors and outdoors. I will definitely be returning soon. 5-star review based on an experience in October 2020.
Super delicious. totally worth the stop from the highway. Nice terrace to sit. Large selection of beers and more. The chicken was perfectly smoked bbq. ribs super delicate. Beans. I loved her. Great service, staff super friendly.. I recommend total
