Was Anna Webb at Oco Time a mag?
This is my favorite restaurant in town! The only downside is the limited seating and the fact that they don't accept reservations. I recommend calling ahead to check availability.

What John Ma dislikes about Oco Time:
It's a fairly good Japanese restaurant in town, though not the best. The prices are a bit on the high side. The atmosphere and service are decent, but the quality of the food is just average. I'm unsure why they don't serve rice with the bento. Also, I don't remember seeing any ramen or udon on the menu. View all feedback.

The Oco time belongs to a beautiful couple originally from japan. it took several years and many fights to create the beautiful, inviting space they have now for the community. the Oco time is not only an artistic experience, but also feeds the soul and the bauch.
I wasn't on another sushi spot that has a whole page only for vegan sushi and side! if I want sushi, I'm going to Oco time! her vegan sushi is not only a gurke or avocado roll like most sushi restaurants offer. the rolls are very kreatiw and use them good quality ingredients and taste amazing! my aim is always the spicy vege roll or kameko roll or an iniri from the vegan menu. for a quick bite has oco time a load right next to its building called it time dig n’ go! they have a list on the side of the refrigerators that contain information about everything they use and it is all clearly marked! tons of vegan option in the dig n go as in the restaurant down.
The best sushi I had. great options for vegans. the vegan sushi is also characterized as a vegan, which makes it easy to see and grab without indexes or disturbing staff. my favorites are the cashew reels and spicy veggie reels. it is beautiful, vegan options besides the standard veggie and avocado roll. I would rate it 5 stars if happy cow allowed!
If you want to find the best veggie sushi around, go to OCO Time. They make the most delicious magic dragon roll I have ever tasted. They also have a fantastic seaweed salad and ponzu spinach salad! Go, just go and enjoy the wonderful ambiance and even more delicious vegan food!!!
Oco Time definitely serves the best sushi I have ever had, and I even dare to say it's one of the best, most consistent places I have ever eaten out at. There are a lot of vegan options...Magic Dragon Roll and The Spicy Veggie Veggie are 2 favorites. Don't let the fish/meat turn you off, it's worth it to come for the veggie sushi....healthy, fresh and beautifully served. Just go!

5 stars. It is healthy, clean, tasteful, and delicious.
The atmosphere, the quality of the food and the friendly staff.
BEWARE!! The prices Oco shows on Google Maps are wrong. A 9 piece sashimi plate is shown as $16, but I was charged $21, that's almost a 30% increase. The hamachi kama jumped from $18 to $25. That's an almost 50% increase! WOW! My bill got jacked up to $150.33, before tip. The hamachi kama was nigh upon excellent, spiced to perfection, no additional sauce needed. The hamachi kama was slightly overcooked, rendering the flesh a bit hard and dry, requiring a little moistening soy sauce. I make my own sashimi sauce, regular and low sodium soy sauce based, with hints of sesame oil and Sriracha sauce, so plain soy sauce was a little underwhelming. And to compound the errors Oco gave no wassabi, and just a couple of napkins. The ahi sashimi was beautiful, translucent, without the slightest hint of connective tissue or blood. Sadly the texture was a little pasty and the ahi was devoid of that characteristic rich flavour. The salmon was peach-orange, rich and creamy, but lacking that latent sweetness that makes you think of candy with each bite of salmon. The seared albacore was OK, nothing to write home about. A little wassabi might have rescued it. The smoked salmon was quite good, but not my thing. I am partial gravad lax, no smoke required, so I found this smoked salmon a bit jarring. I think that with a little palate education, and an accompanying glass of warm saki, I might come to enjoy smoked salmon. I was curious as to how a fish as oily as mackerel might work as sashimi ... it did not work for me. It was rock hard, generally tasteless with a strong medicinal-chemical undertone. To my mind there are better and more appropriate uses for mackerel. Recommendation: AVOID, overpriced hit or miss dishes. Failure to provide wassabi is unforgivable. Price per person: $100+ Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
Dropped in for late lunch. Tried to get pricing and availability for California roll, but server didn't really get it! Ordered Miso soup to start and it smelled off, had a big sip, had an immediate reaction in my gut to the soup. Don't recommend. Price per person: $1–10 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

The amazing B Boy Jero (9 Pc) is my all-time favorite and always a guaranteed hit! You won’t be disappointed. Perfect for those who love a spicy kick!
My wife found the chicken teriyaki to be quite dry. I ordered the fire roll and...
I enjoyed the Chicken Katsu bowl for dinner, and it was absolutely delicious. The Oco sauce was quite delightful as well.
I’m thrilled to have my traditional New Year's treats from Oco Time. I was especially impressed with the hamachi kama; it’s absolutely the best!
This is the best sushi in town! I absolutely love the Double Rainbow Roll and the Marcos Roll. The nigiri special offers a fantastic variety, and the avocado roll provides a nice change of pace. You can't go wrong with the tempura either!

The food was absolutely amazing! The sushi was delicious, and I really enjoyed the bento boxes. The service was friendly and top-notch. I'm definitely looking forward to returning!
Absolutely the best sushi in town! The charming indoor and outdoor dining options make it a delightful experience. There are countless favorites on the menu—it's hard to choose! Everything is fresh and delicious.
Oco offers exceptional Japanese cuisine. The sushi and tempura are outstanding, and their signature okonomiaki buckwheat pancake is simply spectacular. Be sure not to miss this original gem in Ukiah!

I would rate this restaurant a zero if I could. The food is decent, but it's certainly not world-class. They offer an interesting twist on sushi, but considering it's one of the most expensive restaurants in Ukiah, the experience is marred by terrible service. In fact, the service here is the worst I've encountered in Ukiah, and among the worst in any restaurant I've visited. I've been there four times, and each experience has been consistently slow and frustrating. During my most recent visit, it took 20 minutes to receive our miso soup, salad, and beer. After that, we were left waiting with empty glasses of water and no soy sauce or ginger for an additional 28 minutes. I noticed that the entire waitstaff, about five or six people, were congregated in the kitchen chatting with their manager while there were tables needing service and three customers outside. There's simply no excuse for that. I've dined at Michelin-starred restaurants that served food more promptly. Plus, the sushi here is not significantly better than what you can find at Lotus or O'Haru's. I eat sushi weekly in Ukiah, so I'm familiar with the options. The management and waitstaff need to remember that they work in a service industry and should prioritize their customers. The overall experience is just as vital as the food in encouraging repeat business. I’m very disappointed, especially since I had heard they treat their regulars well and that the food is good. I won't be returning to Oco Time again.
The food here is absolutely amazing—delicious sushi, rice bowls, and more! Plus, the service is quick and friendly. Highly recommend!

I really enjoy the food, but the service definitely needs improvement. I placed an order through the app, which indicated it would take over an hour. When I arrived at the designated time, the girl at the counter informed me that I would have to wait another half hour. She attributed the delay to the DoorDash app, but I suspect she hadn’t entered the correct time. This was incredibly frustrating. I would have canceled my order if I hadn’t already made the payment through the app. Meanwhile, other customers who arrived after me were able to pick up their orders without a hitch, which added to my annoyance.
Oco Time is a hidden gem! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it a delightful spot to dine. They offer an impressive selection of sushi, sashimi, and Nigerian dishes, all at reasonable prices, providing excellent value for the quality you’d expect in a larger city. We were truly impressed. It's definitely a must-visit!
