Such a popular place for the sweet bread. Better taste and more crunchy on the outside than the pre-packed supermarket variants. On a hot day like this, the ones with the different variants of ice cream whip on the inside come as a real treat. Would like to come by again to taste the other variants! View all feedback.
It is true that the legendary melon pan is almost as big as a man's head! The bread is nice and warm and the crust has a bit crispy when you bite it. The center is beautiful and airy. Just delicious!!
This melon bun thang is tha best! I tried the one near the Sensoji Temple (if you look via gmaps, search Asakusa Kagetsudo). Located in front of Naritaya Ramen Kiosk..I tried matcha flavor and it didn't fail me. I'll eat this bun over and over and over again..
Reality doesn't fail expectations. The ice cream sandwich is as big, as crunchy and as tasty as it looks in the picture/ sample. A must try if you're in the area! Pure matcha goodness!

I really love melon pans so when I read about the best melon pan in Tokyo I had to try it and it did not disappoint. You know it's really good because the locals (especially students) would order boxes of it. The box is good value, you basically pay for the price of 4 but get 5 pans As you can see from the photos, it's relatively larger than the average pan you get in the supermarket and it's really good. If you're visiting Senso-ji anyway, make sure to put this in your to-try list! Enjoy!
