Was User at Fetch Restaurant a mag?
After a horrible dinner experience the night before in a Victoria restaurant, we were dearly hoping to make up for it. And Fetch sure did! All of our meals were absolutely excellent, particularly the duck. Very friendly server, gorgeous setting with oceanview, quiet atmosphere - loved everything about it! Prices were good considering the quality of the food, and the portions were quite generous. View all feedback.
What User dislikes about Fetch Restaurant:
Was greeted by hostess and was advised buffet only available and wS $21.00We agreed and were seated and went to check out buffet - found out the only food offered was a stew of some kind, rice, bacon/sausage, penne (sort of warm) , potato's, and a bowl of bagged lettuce with cucumber and tomato on the side.Charged me extra for coffee without letting me know.Very disappointed View all feedback.
This is the restaurant in Blackrock resort and so gets busy so best to book. Reasonable choice on the menu with good gluten free options, wine list r asonable as well. Ucluelet is not a big town so this isn't big city stuff. Views are excellent as the resort sits on the Pacific Ocean. Service is very attentive. Remember is BC although the legal, age for alcohol is 19, a 19 year old needs two forms of ID e.g passport and imprinted name on credit card to get serve(best to google the ID rules)
Black rock, what on earth is going on in your restaurant right now?????! Seriously??!I was really looking forward to lunch on the water after some amazing treatments at the driftwood spa while my mother was visiting from Ontario, but unfortunately this experience was super disappointing in comparison to past and has left a bitter taste in my mouth. There was only a buffet available at the time we went in to dine- cool, I love buffets! $21 seemed a bit pricey so I thought it had to be worth the price! Wrong.5 buffet options- rice, potatoes, cold pasta, bacon? Sausage? And some chicken stew. Super strange combo, I know! Maybe some breakfast leftovers?? I honestly couldn't guess, but I went with it!The salad was a bowl of mixed greens. The topping options were tomatoes that were cut into lemon slice sizes and full circles of cucumbers (or maybe they were for eating solo, I honestly have no idea. )Desert have the option of some croissants, small truffles, small square cakes or cupcakes. The buffet food was all room temperature which was the start of the disappointment- Come one Black Rock! for $21 you couldnt at least keep it hot!?Went up to grab the cupcake I was eyeing up when I walked in to find they were all gone. Staff said there were not to replace them. I pointed out to what looked like a manager/ supervisor that with how little the buffet came with they could at least make sure they have enough of the limited option for the paying customers or the price should reflect that if you are out of options. He replied with "well it's only the cupcakes." Yes- so now we have 3 options instead of the limited 4 which was already disappointing? Thanks? At the end the bill came and they and the server put an AUTO GRATUITY on the bill for a table of two? Are you serious?? As someone with serving experience I have never heard of someone auto grating and telling you after your meals over. You are notified before eating by your server or it's written in the menu and only has ever been applied to large groups in my years of serving. What a joke, seriously! As someone who lives in Tofino, black rock is my number one suggestion for anyone traveling to keep. My super bummed out by this experience. I don't know what is going on with the restaurant right now but someone needs to clear out the children running that place and hire some staff with experience and customer service skills so we can all eat great food again!

Had a wonderful dinner at Currents. We sat right at the window with the ocean as our view. Our server, Melissa, was wonderful and attentive. We both decided to make the 3-course-wine pair. Lamb tartars, fresh food and a lime panacotta dessert. It was delicious and very enjoyed.
I recently had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. The food I tried was quite exceptional. The green kale had a subtle grilled flavor that I really enjoyed. I ordered the Cioppino, which had perfectly crispy skin on the salmon/trout. It was delicious! The dish also included slightly grilled octopus, which was a nice addition. The duck was also very flavorful and plentiful. Our parents ordered the special stuffed pasta with butter and sage, which they said was excellent. Although I was quite full, I wish I had room for dessert. I also must mention the delicious virgin Pina Colada I ordered from the bartender. While waiting for the food, I stepped outside onto the balcony to take in the beautiful sunset over the sea. The restaurant offers stunning views of the ocean. Overall, a fantastic dining experience.
