Not this year, it a... read more We visit Ucluelet once a year for a couple of days usually in the early spring and enjoy having our morning coffee and a snack at this café. Not this year, it appears management has changed and the service, cleanliness and quality of coffee and...food has deteriorated badly. We ordered our coffee and a muffin and paid. We asked for creamer as the carafe was empty and a young man grumbled something to us as we left. What we expected and received for our money was sour coffee and the most horrible muffins we had ever tasted. We threw it all away. There are much better place to buy a cup of coffee in Ucluelet but many establishments are only open at certain times and certain days of the week.

Grabbed a couple of cof... read more We got up early to do one of the Pacific Trails. The only coffee shop open at 7am was Barkley. That explains the line up in the morning. Grabbed a couple of coffees and a breakfast sandwich to go. The line moved quickly and we were on our way. This would be a great place to come and sit inside and relax. The coffee was excellent and the breakfast sandwich was very tasty. The staff was very friendly and chipper so early in the morning. There is plenty of parking and it is easy to spot as you drive up.

The lattes were excellent, and the breakfast bagel was delicious and still hot when we returned to our hotel. The pain au chocolate was buttery and flaky, just like in Paris. The prices were very reasonable and we were pleasantly surprised. We will definitely return.
