This comment was rewritten to comply with Google rules. To begin, I would like to declare my Neapolitan origins, having been born in Naples and moved to Belgium at the age of 34. It is important to underline that I have no family ties with the pizzerias present in Belgium. The main motivation that drives me to share this comment is my profound disappointment towards those numerous pizzerias and restaurants in Belgium which, unjustifiably, attribute themselves to the qualification of Neapolitan or claim to prepare dishes adhering to the Neapolitan tradition. Civico 6 is an example of this. You might call me a purist, but my only intention is to represent the opinion of a Neapolitan who rejects false claims. In reference to my experience at the Civico 6 restaurant, unfortunately I have to say that the pizza I ordered has nothing authentic Neapolitan about it. It may be appreciated by those who are not experts in the subject, but it has serious flaws. I pause over my order, a Pulcinella, known in Naples as Sausage and Broccoli. The images attached to this writing document the problems encountered. The bottom of the pizza was burnt, and the edge fell apart at the slightest touch, so much so that it was reminiscent of the fragility of a biscuit, unfortunately, it is not possible to attach the sound. The sausage, far from being knife like, seemed more like an industrial product, lacking the characteristic balance between fat and meat that distinguishes it. The fennel sausage might suggest a Sicilian origin, but I prefer to leave this assessment to the Sicilians. The broccoli, known as broccoli, had the characteristic flavor of canned or jarred varieties, far from the freshness one would expect. It should be noted that raw broccoli is widely available in Belgium. However, in a sea of problems, one plus point goes to the good quality of the fiordilatte and buffalo mozzarella used. The other members of my family, as per the receipt, ordered a Buffala and a Parmigiana. Even in these pizzas, the dough had problems with a burnt crust and a too stiff bottom. As for the Parmigiana, doubts arise about the composition, since it seemed more like a fried and stewed eggplant in tomato sauce than a real eggplant Parmigiana with fiordilatte or provola cheese. It is impossible for me not to notice some flaws in the restaurant menus. A striking example is the Quattro Formaggi served on a tomato base, a variation never seen in Naples. The gross grammatical errors present in the menu and in the signage of the restaurant suggest that Civico 6 is unfamiliar with Italy and Italian. Starting from the name of the restaurant and the website, which reads Pizzeria e restAUrante napoletanA instead of Pizzeria e restaurantante napoletanO . Furthermore, the MargHerita at Civico 6 becomes MargUerita, and the Rucola Bresaola is transcribed as RucCola. There are many examples, and it would be inappropriate to define them as simple printing errors. A Neapolitan pizza chef would be horrified.
